Large carbon steel castings are alloy type that used for produce the carbon steel castings.In large steel casting, its design is more flexible, and not only meet the different needs for the project, but also can be used by different heat treatment in the use of process, then get more effective. In the process of using large carbon steel castings, the specifications for Large carbon steel castings design are as follows:

1) technology subsidies and riser design

Large carbon steel casting riser with insulating riser, centrally located, in order to ensure the smooth and easy air feeding, so,adopt the open riser. According to the carbon steel casting structure, size and wall thickness, process subsidies are set up to ensure the large carbon steel castings are solidified in the order from the riser to the riser.

2) anti cracking measures

Large carbon steel castings fillet is easy to crack, in order to prevent cracks, large fillet is transition generally while place the anti crack reinforcement or cold forming iron, carbon steel casting inside center parts reduce the fillet shrinkage resistance and prevent crack.

3) cold iron

Large carbon steel casting lateral convex, but located in the region between the two riser, placed outside the cold iron to remove local hot spot. The lower part of the casting, the two riser between the parts, generally placed outside the cold iron.

4) air outlet channel

Large carbon steel casting outside is local convexity, but it is not suitable to place the riser parts and vents; carbon steel casting corner box place vents; window parts box place the vents; when pit molding,bottom box is reinforcement and set the air outlet passage in the hard sand bed.
